Nivole Moscato d'Asti DOCG
Moscato d'Asti DOCG Nivole by Michele Chiarlo is made from white Moscato grapes, subjected to vinification that involves a slow fermentation in an autoclave at a controlled temperature, until achieving an alcohol content of 5%. During this process, a part of the carbon dioxide developed during fermentation remains “entrapped”, giving the wine its mild, natural effervescence. Before bottling, it then undergoes a process of micro-filtration to give the wine its clarity, purity and stop any further fermentation of the yeasts.
Nivole has brillinat straw-yellow colour. The bouquet is immediately aromatic, fruity and creamy, with hints of peach and white flowers. In the mouth it is clean, delicate, light, showing great freshness and light sweetness. We suggest serving it fresh, at a temperature of 10 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
This sweet wine is perfect in combination with petit fours and creamy cakes, but we recommend to try it also in combination with simple bread, butter and Cantabrian anchovies.
Michele Chiarlo: four generations of winemakers in the land of Piedmont, four production areas (Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti and Gavi) for the four historical, traditional Piedmontese vines (Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cortese and Moscato), vinified in four different styles. But the only one is the spirit that has always revealed itself in all the expressions of Chiarlo: from inside the glass to the great events in artistic location, from the family’s work within the company to the worldwide promotional tours, from the culture of books and of the Barolo Caveau to the convivial pleasure
