Le Orme Barbera d'Asti DOCG 16 mesi
Michele Chiarlo's Le Orme Barbera d'Asti DOCG is made from Barbera grapes, which are selected from the vineyards of southern Asti, with particular reference to the vineyards: Montemareto in Castelnuovo Calcea, La Serra in Montaldo Scarampi and Costa delle Monache in Agliano. The note "16 months" in the name of this red wine from Piedmont is due to the months of refinement before being on the market.
The vinification takes place in steel, with 10 days of maceration on the skins and soft wetting of the cap with the "shower" system at a temperature between 32 and 27 °C followed by malolactic fermentation in steel.
Ruby red colour with violet undertones. On the nose, elegant and intense aromas with hints of fresh and ripe red fruits such as cherries and currants. In the mouth, this wine shows great harmony, good structure and roundness; nice flavor on the finish. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18 °C.

Michele Chiarlo: four generations of winemakers in the land of Piedmont, four production areas (Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti and Gavi) for the four historical, traditional Piedmontese vines (Nebbiolo, Barbera, Cortese and Moscato), vinified in four different styles. But the only one is the spirit that has always revealed itself in all the expressions of Chiarlo: from inside the glass to the great events in artistic location, from the family’s work within the company to the worldwide promotional tours, from the culture of books and of the Barolo Caveau to the convivial pleasure
