Orgiolo Lacrima di Moro D'Alba DOC Superiore
Orgiolo Lacrima of Morro d'Alba DOC Superiore is a red wine produced by Mariotti Campi winery and made from 100% Lacrima di Morro d'Alba grapes. After a manual harvest in boxes at the end of September, the vinification process involves a gentle pressing of the grapes, with maceration in contact with the skins for about 10-14 days and subsequent fermentation in steel tanks at 18 °C. The wine ages 12 months in small oak barrels and another 6 months in the bottle.
The Lacrima di Morro d'Alba Orgiolo has an intense ruby red colour with violet undertones. On the nose the aromas recall red and black fruits, such as raspberry and blackberry, combined with spicy notes of pink pepper, juniper berries and oriental spices. Fruity and spicy tasting, with soft and persistent tannins with a clean finish. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18 °C.

Marotti Campi is a family business founded in the mid-1800s, when the Marotti family bought a property in the Sant'Amico district of Morro d'Alba. They built a villa in the center of the sharecropping estate and the first vineyard was planted by Cesare Marotti in 1886. At the time the main crop was wheat, but over the years and with the various generational passages, the Marotti family introduce the viticulture as main crop.
