L'U Rosso Umbria IGT
The name "L'U" is given by the initial letters of "L'Umbria", the same as LUNGAROTTI: once again emphasizes the strong bond with the land of the winery. The image is that of a "Satire", a blood drawing by Gilles de Ville, sec. XVIII, preserved at the Wine Museum, Torgiano. Vinified in steel and refined in barriques, this wine has an inviting fragrance.
Intriguing blend of vines that combine with harmony and synergy, combining warmth and freshness. Seductive, modern and exquisite, with good texture and harmonious tannins, has long and persistent aftertaste. We recommend serving it at 16 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Modern and crisp wine, it is ideal for creative combinations with dishes from various gastronomic cultures, from tempura to gulash, BBQ, pork and lamb meats, pizzas and quiches and, of course, cheeses.
Founded in the early 60's by Giorgio Lungarotti, the company soon became a driving force that opened up new opportunities not only for Torgiano but for the whole of Umbria too: wine as the centerpiece of a very high quality touristic and productive center, and cornerstone of a highly integrated promotional tool for the whole region.
