Berlucchi '61 Franciacorta DOCG Brut
Guido Berlucchi's Chardonnay (90%) and Pinot Nero (10%) grapes, cultivated in the 19 municipalities of Franciacorta, the wonderful Berlucchi '61 Brut Franciacorta is born. After a soft and progressive crushing of the grapes, the alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel vats. This cuvée is prepared in the spring following the harvest. It follows a second fermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging in contact with its own yeasts for at least 24 months, followed by another 2 months after disgorgement.
Straw yellow colour with greenish undertones. Soft foam, with good persistence; thin and continuous perlage. The bouquets recalls fresh, rich, elegant notes of white pulp fruits and citrus scents. On the palate this Franciacorta reveals remarkable freshness and pleasant acidity; it is soft and balanced, with a pleasant citrus sensation in the finish. We suggest serving it at 6-8 °C.
