Barbera D'Alba Superiore DOC Borgogno
Fratelli Serio & Battista Borgogno's Barbera d'Alba Superiore differs from the traditional Barbera for a selection of the best grapes coming from Castellinardo and Diano d'Alba. The process provides a natural fermentation without addition of selected yeasts for about 15 days at low temperatures after reading pressings and aging in large Slavonian oak for 10 months, and finally aged for about 3 months in the bottle.
This traditional process allows the acid freshness retention and fragrance of spices, for a wine fragrant, elegant and typical. Fruity bouquet, with fine notes of cherry and sour cherry, that replicates in the mouth. Silky and smooth tannins, that balance the wooden aftertaste of the wine, ending in a long finish. We suggest to serve it at 18-20 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
The Barbera d'Alba Superiore undoubtedly is the ideal wine to pair with aged cheese, grilled red meat and tasty dishes made of truffle.
