Riserva Palazza Sangiovese Superiore Riserva Romagna DOC
Riserva Palazza Sangiovese Superiore Riserva is produced by Drei Donà winery and it represents the historical reserve of the company. This is the re-edition of an old Sangiovese produced from 1959 to 1979 and returned to new life with the 2009 harvest. A delicate blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Grapes are harvested by hand and collected in boxes between the first and second week of September. Fermentation is carried out in temperature-controlled cement tanks, while malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats. The wine is aged in large 25hl oak barrels. and 15 hl. for at least 24 months. After bottling, the aging continues in the bottle, to reach a complete refinement.
Intense ruby red colour, with a fruity and distinctive bouquet: notes of violet and cherry. This wine is surprising on the palate for its volume and persistence, thanks to the delicate and complex notes of ripe black fruits. We suggest to serve it at a temperature of 18 °C.

Drei Donà - Tenuta La Palazza
The Drei Donà estate is located in the ancient Romagnan hills between the towns of Forlì, Castrocaro and Predappio. The ‘La Palazza’ farmhouse was built around a watchtower constructed by Caterina Sforza in 1481 in a strategic position on the gentle slopes of Massa di Vecchiazzano to defend her lands. The property has been in the hands of the Drei Donà family since the last century, and although it has always been dedicated to producing Sangiovese grapes, it has undergone a radical transformation under the present owner, Count Claudio Drei Donà.
