Greco di Tufo DOCG Donnachiara
The Greco di Tufo DOCG produced by Donnachiara winery is a pure Greco grape variety cultivated on tuffaceous soils nearby Montefalcione and it expresses the traditional Greco di Tufo production, with particular attention to the exact degree of grapes ripeness. The harvest usually takes place in the second decade of October. Once the grapes reach the cellar, they are pressed and immediately cooled to 10 °C for 4-6 hours. Soft pressing with static decantation are carried out, followed by fermentation in steel vats at 14-16 °C for about 15 days.
Donnachiara Greco di Tufo has a bright yellow colour. The nose opens immediately with a rich and complex bouquet, made of ripe fruits notes, such as peach, apricot, pineapple and cedar. In the mouth it is dry, warm, soft, with good persistence and a persistent finish. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 12-14 °C.
