Nerone di Calabria by Criserà winery is a red wine made from Nerello Calabrese (Nerello Mascalese) 70% and Sangiovese 30%, selected on the inaccessible and sunny Calabrese hills at about 600-800 mt. above sea level and harvested late to get the maximum aromatic concentration. 96 hours of maceration and fermentation in small oak barrels and barriques.


Very intense, rather dark ruby-red colour. By oxygenating it, you can easily perceive intense and persistent vinous, very spicy aromas. Elegant, noble and compact tannins. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 15 °C, taking care to uncork the bottle at least 20 minutes before serving.


Nerone di Calabria challenges the most demanding palates, fully satisfying them especially when paired with grilled red meat, spicy dishes, pasta with meat sauce, cured meat and aged cheese. It is the ideal wine paired with typical Calabrian cuisine.
