Cieck Neretto Canavese DOC
Neretto di San Giorgio by Cieck winery is a red wine from Peidmont produced in limited quantities and througha as single-variety winemaking. It is the result of a great research of Piedmontese native grapes, in the province of Turin. Neretto di San Giorgio, in fact, was a very popular vine in the area of western Canavese, while today only a few stocks are still present in this territory. After the harvest, Neretto selected grapes are subjected to maceration, followed by a short passage in oak barrels to enhance the fruity notes typical of the grape variety.
Neretto is a medium-bodied red wine, to be drunk young. Deep ruby red colour with dark hues. Fruity notes of undergrowth, fruity taste with a light vanilla aroma and a memory of raspberry and currant. Warm and vigorous taste, supported by good acidity and interesting tannic texture. Licorice aftertaste. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS

Chosen for you
Canavese, land of origin of Erbaluce Caluso and Canavese DOC wines, is an area of Piedmont, situated north of Turin, at the borders with Aosta Valley. This is one of the oldest wine-growing areas of Piedmont and at Romans times the culture of the vine was already practised.
The lands, which are mostly hilly, have glacial origin, or derived from debris mass due to the prehistoric glaciers advance. Therefore, this is very ancient, sandy and pebbly soil. The pH is acidic or sub acidic with poor retention.
