Quattro Vicariati Rosso Trentino DOC Superiore
Cavit's Quattro Vicariati Rosso Trentino DOC Superiore is a red wine from Bordeaux grapes blend of particular value. Its name refers to the area of the "Quattro Vicariati" (four vicariates) of Ala, Avio, Brentonico and Mori, in Vallagarina. This is the most heavily planted area of Trentino, the southern and, therefore, the most suitable production area for Cavit's great red wine of the "historic label", born in the mid-sixties, which still remains a wine of great value to which particular attention is reserved in the vineyard and in the cellar. Most of it is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, integrated in a small part by Cabernet Franc, while the rest, around 30%, is represented by Merlot. The winemaking process involves a medium-long maceration of the grapes in contact with their skins for about 13-14 days, followed by fermentation and aging in barriques and small oak barrels for 18 months.
Cavit's Quattro Vicariati is a red wine with an intense and bright ruby-red colour. On the nose, it offers balsamic scent and fruity noted of plum, blackberry and tobacco. The taste shows great balance with notes of green pepper and ripe red berries. Savory and soft with noble tannins. Spicy finish. Long and enchanting finish. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 16-18 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Cavit's Quattro Vicariati Rosso Trentino DOC Superiore is the ideal red wine to pair with pasta with savory sauces, as well as mixed grilled meat and aged cheese.
The characteristics of Trentino region make it an absolutely unique part of the Italian peninsula: the region is relatively small and is the ideal combination of microclimates and terrains which are very different but which co-exist in perfect harmony. And these differences are at the heart of the region's rich and varied wine production.
