Selvarossa Salice Salentino DOC Riserva
This Apulian red wine is obtained by selected ripe Negroamaro and Malvasia Nera grapes, picked by hand and selected again on a rotating wheel once reached the winery. During the maceration (14 days) into 500 hl horizontal rotating tanks, the wine completes its alcoholic fermentation at a temperature never exceeding 20 °C. It is then transferred into new barriques, to complete the malolactic fermentation. It is then racked and returned to barriques. After 9 months it is bottled and aged before release.
Deep ruby red wine with amaranthic undertones. The nose expresses eye-catching fragrances of cherry jam and dates, in addition to vanilla and licorice aromas. The palate is marked by hints of red fruits and soft shades of wood. Warm, good fragrance, with vigorous yet delicate tannins, this wine has a persistent finish. We recommend serving it at a temperature of 14-18 °C.
