Pinksea Rosato Toscana IGT
The name of this Tuscan rosé wine is an ode to rosé and Syrah grape. The Pinksea Rosato Toscana IGT produced by Batzella winery is made from 65% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35% Syrah grapes, which are harvested by hand and subjected to a rosé vinification according to the "saignée" method, also called "salasso". After a first maceration on the skins for about 12 hours, the free-run must ferments in steel containers and continues its refinement always in steel.
Pinksea is bright and vivid salmon colour. All the typical perfumes of Cabernet, such as notes of raspberries and cherries, together with those of Syrah, including sweet spicy such as white pepper. In the mouth the taste is refreshing, breaking and full-bodied. We find the fruity notes that fade into an intense and persistent finish. We suggest serving this wine at a temperature of 12-13 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Batzella's Pinksea Rosato Toscana IGT is an excellent Tuscan rosé wine to pair with fried fish or Livorno-style "caciucco" (fish soup), as well as tempura vegetables and light cured meats. Enhance the grilled white meat and soft cheese, such as robiola and buffalo mozzarella.
