Chianti Classico DOCG BIO Badia a Coltibuono
Badia a Coltibuono Chianti Classico DOCG is an organic Chianti, which comes from mainly Sangiovese grapes, plus minor native grapes (Canaiolo, Ciliegiolo, Colorino), all cultivated through organic farming and vinified in an absolutely natural way. For its fruity and expressive style, for its kind and pleasant structure, for its long history, this Chianti Classico is considered one of the most representative wines of the Chianti Classico area. The harvest is carried out manually and grapes are subjected to natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by a maceration of 3 weeks, with punching downs and delestages. The obtained wine ages 12 months in 15-25 hl French and Austrian oak barrels.
This Chianti Classico has a strong ruby red colour, with scents of iris, violets, marasca, tobacco and black pepper. The taste is dry, with well balanced acidity and tannins. In the mouth it is fresh and sapid, quite warm and persistent. The taste has mineral hints, red fruit, leather and roasting aromas. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 18 °C.
