Schioppettino Friuli Colli Orientali DOC
Arzenton's Schioppettino is obtained from 100% Schioppettino grapes, harvested and selected by hand in the vineyard during the harvest. The must ferments in concrete tanks with delastage every 2 days, in order to completely separate the must from the grapes and alcoholic fermentation follows the malolactic one. The wine is then poured into other concrete tanks, to refine for at least 2 years, followed by a further ageing in the bottle for at least 6 months.
Intense ruby red color. Fruity aromas typical of the underwood, currants, blackberries and blueberries, as well as more spicy hints. Good body and rightly tannic structure. We suggest serving it at a temperature of 17-18 °C.
FOOD MATCHING SUGGESTIONS
Arzenton's Schioppettino is an excellent red wine to combine with roast chicken, rabbit and feathered game.
