Marne 180 Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG
Tedeschi Amarone della Valpolicella DOC is made from 30% Corvina, 30% Corvinone, 30% Rondinella, 10% Rossignola, Oseleta, Negrara, Dindarella grapes, which are harvested in various vineyards located on hills in the Valpolicella zone (Mezzane and Tregnago hills). Different sources and different grape varieties are important to obtain well-balanced wines with the fine structure that only a few single areas in the Valpolicella zone can provide.
The grapes dried 4 months in a controlled fruit drying facility. After vinification, it ages in Slavonian oak barrels for about 3 years and 6 months more in bottle before releasing. It is a wine with a velvety, raisiny character combined with the structure and typical stylish bitterness to give it good balance with its acidity. It has an enduring and persistent flavour, it is a keeping wine.
This Amarone presents a strong ruby-red clear and transparent colour. It has a spicy bouquet, that mix well with sweet notes of vanilla and ethereal airs (depending on the period of aging in the barrel) and red fruits, such as currants, blueberries, cherries depending on the varieties of grapes. On the palate it express a velvety, raisiny character, combined with good structure and the typical stylish bitterness that convey good balance and harmony. It has an enduring and persistent flavour. We suggest to serve it at 16-18 °C.
