Gewürztraminer Abbazia di Novacella
Gewürztraminer of Abbazia di Novacella is an aromatic white wine made from 100% Gewürztraminer grapes, grown in the winery's vineyards in Varna (Bressanone), about 600-700 above sea level. As the most white wines of South Tyrol, this Gewürztraminer is vinified in stainless steel to to keep intact the organoleptic characteristics of the variety. Grapes are harvested in mid-October and, after the stainless steel maceration at 20 °C with natural yeasts, the wine is refined in stainless steel tanks for six months.
This Gewürztraminer has a sparkling straw yellow colour, with golden reflections. On the nose you will discover intense aromatic essences of rose and lychee, fig and grapefruit, followed by spicy notes of clove and vanilla. In the mouth the wine is full, pleasantly aromatic, characterized by a very persistent aftertaste. We suggested to serve it at a temperature of 12-14 °C.

The ideal food-matching for the Gewürztraminer of Abbazia di Novacella? It goes well with Asian food, since it is particularly suited to accompany spicy curry dishes. Very interesting pairing with pate de foie gras and mature cheese. It is the ideal companion of raw fish and oysters.
