Description

The wine "Collio Friulano Russiz Superiore" of Marco Felluga winery is a white wine produced from 100% Tocai Friulano grapes, a native grape of Friuli Venezia Giulia. After harvesting, grapes undergo a cold maceration, then a slight pressing to separate the skins. Approximately 15% of the must is fermented in oak barrels, while the remaining in steel tanks. The wine is then left to rest about 8 months on the lees, then bottled.

Collio Friulano Russiz Superiore has pale yellow colour with bright green hues. You can perceive impressive scents of almond blossoms, followed by floral notes, such as hawthorn and camomile, with a fine vegetable scent background. The taste is very seductive, soft and refined. The obvious freshness of of this full-bodied wine leaves a pleasant persistence in the final tasting.

The recommended food matching for Collio Friulano Russiz Superiore of Marco Felluga winery? It goes perfectly well with Italian Prosciutto di San Daniele and cold eats in general, fresh and lightly aged cheese, egg and vegetable dishes, baked fish.

Marco Felluga

More than a century has passed, since the first Felluga crossed his history with wine. The island of Istria was the place of origin of Malvasia and Refosco d'Istria productions. Just after the Great War, the family get to the other side of the gulf, to Grado and then in Friuli.
