Duca di Salaparuta
The Duca di Salaparuta Group comprises three historic brands that represent Sicily and Italy worldwide: Corvo and Duca di Salaparuta, established in 1824, and Florio, established in 1833.
Duca di Salaparuta recounts the story of its land of origin in a new and enticing way. The story of the company’s estates began with the selection of the specific areas of land: Suor Marchesa in Riesi, Risignolo in Salemi and Vajasindi on the slopes of Mount Etna. And the experimental innovations, closely bound to the lands of Sicily, have led to what to can only be described as iconic wines such as Duca Enrico, the first fully Nero d’Avola wine, while others provide new and interesting oenological challenges like Nawàri, the first Pinot Nero wine from Mount Etna. Each Duca di Salaparuta wine is, in essence, the expression of specific local areas and of a long wine-making tradition. Yet it also expresses a unique and immediately recognizable lifestyle. The leitmotiv of every stage of production is undoubtedly the great evocative power of the lands from which each single wine originates.
