Cantina Di Venosa
Cantina di Venosa was founded in 1957 in the homonymous municipality of Venosa, a charming tourist village rich in history and art which was the birthplace of the Latin poet Horace Flaccus and Prince Carlo Gesualdo da Venosa. Venosa boasts a widely diffused and appreciated sector of culture, that of the red wine from Basilicata par excellence: Aglianico. Cantina di Venosa is a world leader in the production of the famous ancient Aglianico del Vulture wine, which represents the perfect combination of the rich and balanced composition of volcanic soils and the gentle climatic exposure of Venosa hills. Today the company has 350 members, who manage 800 hectares of vineyards specialized in Aglianico grapes, that are cultivated with care and love in the vineyards and vinified according to the most modern maceration and fermentation techniques, refining them in French oak and Slavonian oak barrels, thus to get the finest quality.
